03:29 pm - More questions.

One of the following questions was edited a bit to guard the annonimity of the person.

"When did you figure out you were poly? When you did figure it out, were you embarrassed or confused?"

I didn't figure out that I was poly untill my current relationship started, but I had always felt different than most people when it came to relationships. I always knew that I was different, and the relationship structure deemed by society as being appropriate was not what was going to make me happy. I just didn't know I had other options untill I met M and began walking down a road towards being poly. I was not embarrassed by becoming poly at all, I found it happilly and with great interest. I was confused and a bit scared of the unknown factors of a new relationship structure, and in some ways, a way of life. It took me quite awhile to get over the learning curve of being poly, in fact, I still learn new things about myself, my relationship, and being poly on a regular basis.

"Does the fact that your partner has kids ever frustrate/bother you?"

No, it really doesn't. Granted, it makes scheduling more difficult at times, and our interactions around her younger ones needs to be moderated. But, I knew going into my relationship with her that her kids are a part of her life and thus were going to be a part of my life as well. In fact, I absolutely love her children. In a very real way they have become like my kids as well. Granted, I have no desire to try to replace their father in anyway, but I have come to love them as if they were my kids too. My relationship with her oldest daughter, A, is a unique relationship as well. She has become a friend and taken a sister-like role in my life. I like to think she comes to me as a friend and looks upto me as a big brother like figure as well.

Libertarians believe that you have the right to live your life as you wish, without the government interfering, as long as you don’t violate the rights of others. This translates into strong protections for privacy and property rights, and a weak to non-existent social safety net.

I took this from multiple people on my friends list...

This is an old, old meme. What do you want to do with me? What do you want me to do with you. Be as vanilla, or as Hell's Angel raunchy as you like. Tempt me, or give me a new idea. Your choice. All the comments will be screened unless you want me to broadcast it to the world.

02:41 pm - Kingdom Crusades

I know this may be a bit early yet, but I was wondering if there was a communal plan for the weekend, or is it a fend for yourself kinda thing. In other words, what do I need to bring as far as food and drink and what not goes? Do I need to bring such things or do I need to contribute money, is there food on site? Stuff like that.

Also, how do I need to pack for the weekend? There are beds in the cabin, correct? Do I need to bring sleeping mats in case there isn't enough bunks?

I guess I'm asking for a general run down on the weekend.

10:02 am - *sigh*

It was a long weekend, not the type that involves three days of freedom and typically a road trip. I felt restless all weekend, like I was doing everyhting and going everywhere except where I really wanted to be and couldn't do anything about it. Maybe it was just because I couldn't keep my head from going a mile a minute and my thoughts on where I was, I don't really know. There just isn't that feeling of satisfaction that I usually have on Monday mornings when reflecting on the weekend. What really bothers me is that I know this is going to continue for atleast the rest of today, if I'm lucky, if not maybe even untill next weekend. *sigh*

On a brighter note, my dad, uncle, and a friend are coming into town to visit tonight. They're all coming in to watch the Steeler game and spend the night with me. It'll be great to see them, even if they'll be crammed into my tiny (but comfy) house. I'm trying to get excited about this, but the disatisfaction concerning the weekend is making it tough. Oh well, hopefully by game time I'll be good to go.

Now, off to cram five hours worth of work today into three hours. Yippeee!

09:27 am - Drums

Its a wonderful thing to look forward to sleeping in on saturday mornings. What is not a wonderful thing is the local high school band practice begining at 8:00 AM on a saturday morning. It just so happens that their practice field is about 200 yards from my house. Drums suck.

Oh well, atleast I went to bed fairly early, and I have alot to get done before this afternoon. So, it was probably for the best. Drums still suck though.

Can anyone tell me if it is appropriate to take a gift to an engagement party? Other than a nice bottle of riesling that is already chilling down. I don't know the couple really well, but they are becoming friends.
